I’m a software engineer with 15 years of experience. Most of my world lives in terminals, editors, and logic — and I genuinely love it. But the human side of things has been a bit of a desert. I’m introverted. Shallow small talk drains me fast. I’ve tried the usual routes — I either lose interest, or the other person does. It’s nobody’s fault. I just operate at a different frequency.
So I’m taking an unconventional approach: hiring someone to talk with me. One hour a day. Real conversation, no performance required.
This is Not therapy. Not mentorship. Not networking. Not a job where you listen to me vent. I want a person on the other end — someone with their own opinions, their own stories, their own curiosity. I want to be challenged, surprised, occasionally disagreed with. Two people just talking, at a frequency that works for both.
